I may think the new New Order is hard to listen to all the way through, but "Who's Joe?" is a fucking corker! If it's released it will be my single of the years no doubts.

The next single is "Jetstram" - the best two tracks are track three and track ten. In fact they are the only two good tracks on there aren't they?
PS Sin LCD Soundsystem couple of weeks back, exceeded all expectations, place was packed and rockin', finished with "Yeah", my favourite, and "Tribulations" is stuck in my brain too - it should be played alongside that current Bravery tune in every DJ set shouldn't it? |

I think they're just gegging in on the phenomenon that is/was The Killers - nowt there that will change your life from the two tracks I've heard.
Not as bad as Bloc Party though. I heard that album the other day, thought it was frikkin bland so I did. It was hard to tell when it had finished, there was so little going on. |

I dislike The Bravery
because I keep thinking I've seen something about bravecaptain and do a double-take when I see their name

Have to disagree with you there old chap - Bloc Party album is pretty cool in my opinion - better than The Killers! It may be slightly burnt into my head undeservingly because I had to stay and look after a cat for 8hrs the other day with no other CDs to listen to...
Bravery are pretty yawnsome though, yes. _________________ Scattershot Writing: www.jameseverington.blogspot.com |

you're probably right, cos there's plenty of talk about them right now - i just don't seem to get it even after three listens, actutally
trying
to like it...
hey! worth mentioning that i have giant steps on reet loud just now and we're up to "thinking of ways" at the moment (step on the gas, go giles!), and sounding as fresh as a frosty morning - a wonderful end to the day... |

Is it just me, or can anyone understand a single word that Kele/Keli/Kelly Bloce is singing? He could be singing in French for all i can make out!
Like the NME say this week, nobody in there right mind should expect New Order to be putting out tunes as good as Krafty 28 years down the line. Let's face it, most great bands are utter shite after 3 years, let alone all they've been through.
There is only one Martin Carr I can think of that's been consistantly brilliant for so long.

Oh, and even if you hate Bloc Party check out their Helicopter game which you can access from Wichita site (or just go here http://www.v2digital.net/uk/ecards/blocparty/) it's top!
p.s. Good call on GT Sparky _________________ Scattershot Writing: www.jameseverington.blogspot.com |
