I think that "elevator" is American but that doesn't mean that if you used the word over here people would find it difficult to understand, so it would still be an adequate description. I just found your choice of words interesting and a bit amusing. It just so happens that this kind of thing happens to be of the sort of thing that interests and amuses me. Don't ask me why.  |

wow! i guess i did'nt realise the impact american culture had on England (UK). in that case, can i use the words "french fries" for chips, "freight cars" for trucks, "ass" for arse, "trucks" for lorries, "gasoline" for petrol & "radio" or "stereo" for wireless? |
