I've just got some tickets!

The correct link for them is here by the way:
http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region=uk&query=detail&event=125593

My good God, I hope the secret headliners are who we'd all expect them to be... that would be incredible! Worth a fiver to see bc though anyway of course!

Anyone else going to be there? Any secret backstage parties going on Martin? Wink

from nme.com

SUPER FURRY ANIMALS singer GRUFF RHYS will headline a special concert tomorrow night in LONDON to raise awareness for the TRADE JUSTICE MOVEMENT (April 15).

Kicking off at 9pm, the gig will take place at The Marquee Club and will also feature performances from ex-Boo Radley Martin Carr as Brave Captain, The Superimposers, Richard James (ex-Gorky's Zygotic Mynci) and DJ sets from Nitin Sawhney and Bobby Friction.

The event is taking place as part of many happenings going on over tomorrow night as thousands of people are expected to head to Westminster for an all night protest vigil organised by the Trade Justice Movement for the MakePovertyHistory campaign.

Well Martin's mailout said:

bravecaptain will be performing alongside gruff rhys, the superimposers, richard james, weird mc and djs bobby friction and nitin sawhney. special guest headliners will be "a miserable band from oxford who are already around". bravecaptain is due on stage at 11.15 with gruff rhys and richard james before him.

Which I read as Gruff being on before bc.
But I really hope the miserable Oxford band are who I hope they are (especially as Thom Yorke is heavily involved with the Wake Up To Trade Justice event...)

man... i really wish i wasn't reviewing tonight otherwise i'd be there with bell-bottoms on.

the superimposers are great as well (at least their demos are). very beta-band-y. make sure you get there in time to see them.

I've just heard from my insider contacts that Radiohead are indeed headlining tonight - superb! The web site for tickets seems to be totally jammed up now though, I assume if it's not already sold out, it will be soon.

bc, Gruff, Richard James and Radiohead all in one night - for a fiver! Brilliant! I will endeavour to take my camera. I'll check out superimposers too.

Mr. Patrickconnor - I'm meeting my mates in the Weatherspoons Montague Pyke pub up Charring Cross road at 9, send me a PM if you want to join us.

Might meet my friends at The Angel instead then, incase I get the chance to say 'hello' to you in person.

Looking forward to tonight, must try not to drink too much though as I'm out on Saturday late too.

Hope your cold doesn't affect your singing too much Martin.

bravecaptain performs live three times in just over 24 hours this weekend.

the first two performances are part of the trade justice movement's 'wake up to trade justice' event - an all-night vigil and protest taking place in central london on friday night/saturday morning, culminating with attendees waking up tony blair early on saturday morning.

www.tjm.org.uk/wakeup/

bravecaptain will be performing alongside gruff rhys, the superimposers, richard james, weird mc and djs bobby friction and nitin sawhney. special guest headliners will be "a miserable band from oxford who are already around". bravecaptain is due on stage at 11.15 with gruff rhys and richard james before him.

the venue is the marquee club in leicester square and tickets are £5 for the full night (9pm - 3am) and are available from www.ticketweb.com.

after the event bravecaptain will be performing an acoustic set at westminster methodist central hall where he is due on after gruff rhys and before richard james for a 20-minute acoustic set at 1am.

then it's back to cardiff for the saturday night and bravecaptain supporting boom bip at clwb ifor bach.
