I can suggest that anyone who wishes to try and get tickets to Glastonbury try the following number instead of the one they give...
actually, I'll post the number on here late tomorrow, increases the chances then. You know how these things spread, Someone tells their friend, then they tell their friends, then they tell their friends, and so on, and so on, and so on........

right, there is no gurantee this will work, however it is a way ahead box office number. It got me Glasto tickets last year, and additionally it got me tickets to see the Pixies at the forum(and it sold out in 10 minutes!!) last year.
01159 129 129
I may suggest that anyone who is looking to get tickets go on the way ahead site priro to the sale and look for any customer service numbers too. I'm still unsure myself whether I can really afford it at the moment, it's a bloody pain they don't take Visa. Maybe the organisers are taking a stance against unecessary debt! Mind you, last year when I went it seemed full of toffs with tartan blankets and thermos flasks. Then again maybe that was something to do with the headliner on the Saturday night..........
Good luck to you all!! |

I got my tickets at the very first attempt through aloud.com, and when you are successful the web address is that of way-aheads....... So I'd bet that number is a good one to try.
Roll on June!

What makes a person be on the phone for hours just for a festival??? I've heard about 12 hours and stuff.

It took me 14 hours last year. On the phone, and online.
Anyone that says, "Just" for a festival has never been to Glastonbury

Took me 4 hours last year, however, not going this year. Worked out we couldn't get the cash in time. However, all is not lost cause I'm going to Reading, last time I went Cypress Hill headlined! Mind you once the tickets went, me and my man were talking about it and realised we had been silly not to try as we shall miss out in the Cider Bus' hot and spicy cider. And the psychedelic pear cider from the Jazz field. Never mind Kylie and the white stripes, that's what I'm going to miss. And the steam boats stall.
Oh, and if anyone has been to Reading recemtly, could they enlighten me on alcohol availability and the range they serve up. Last time I went all I remember is not being able to take any beer into the 'arena'. |

it's true... there's so much more to glastonbury than just the bands. it's the whole... y'know...
vibe
maaaaaaaan.
booze at reading -- are you talking about bringing your own beer into the arena from your tent? apparently you can only bring food into the arena if it's for "personal consumption", and alcohol/drinks bottles/glass bottles/cans are all banned from being brought into the arena so you can spend a fiver on a bottle of water inside. i'm sure if you try to sneak it in the cuntish security will also be all-too-happy to shove a flashlight up your arse and poke around for it.
