You can name your least favourite one(s) too if you want.
This one's pretty cool: (especially on vinyl!)
and this:
and the newest New Order album cover is rubbish.

I feel that the over from Radiohead's 'The Bends' is absolute wank.
However saying that I do love the cover to 'It's Great WHen You're Straight....Yeah!' by Black Grape. And The Holy Bible isn't bad either. For some strange reason I also like the cover to Under the PInk by Tori Amos. |

Funny you should mention "The Bends", that cover scares me so much that I've turned it to other side.

BOO!
Sorry, but I'm only doing this for your good, dear Setareh...
That guy's facial expression is quite.. er.. interesting.
None of the Radiohead album covers are that good actually, except for OK Computer which is... well, OK. _________________

Also, I don't think that half-naked fat people on an album cover is such a great thing... but we already talked about this in the
"naked models on album artwork"
thread.
not a bad album at all though. _________________

'The Bends' cover is good - you can't tell if the guy is in pain or ecstasy. OK Computer Cover is good too, but Kid A is the best Radiohead album cover I think, I love the scarey mountains.
The cover I love most though is the Lemon Jelly Lost Horizons one...
The vinyl cover folds out into this:
And on the other side is the same view, but at night. It's beautiful! _________________ http://www.facebook.com/thelostcavalry

Lets go back to the days of Prog Rock when Album Covers weren't Album Covers unless they were gatefold and maquerading as pseudo arty bollox!:
And a gratuitous Maiden cover for Kinkster!

Entroducing - DJ Shadow
Ill Communication - The Beastie Boys
Power Corruption and Lies - New Order
Leisure Noise - Gay Dad
Exit Planet Dust - The Chemical Brothers
Its hard to seperate the actual album from the cover though, maybe if the cover of the New Order album was the cover for a band I didn't like I'd be less keen on it. But it isn't so I'm not.
All the covers for Pavements albums were awful. |
