Nice one... - I like the fact it has Wake Up Boo Music For Astronaughts version, and not Wake Up Boo Music For Pedestrians or whatever we are supposed to call that version.
Also, it is chronological. I like me best ofs to be chronological. _________________ Scattershot Writing: www.jameseverington.blogspot.com |

So the songs that were dropped from the original draft/Amazon site were: "Melodies For The Deaf," "Song From The Blueroom," "Janus," "Stuck On Amber" and "One Of Us Must Know (Sooner Or Later)." The songs that took their place are: "Sunfly II: Walking With The Kings," "Ride The Tiger," "Tomorrow," "Blueroom In Archway" and "Put Your Arms Around Me And Tell Me Everything’s Gonna Be OK."
The "Be OK" song had to be included so I like it better for that reason alone. At first I wasn’t thrilled with an opening song on
Kingsize
being the closer for this. So I playing "Archway" and I have warmed up to the idea and think it does make sense now.
Good job like always Mr. Carr and I hope you make millions off this thing.
On a side note: Super Furry Animals and Bravecaptain playing on the same bill, how fucking brilliant is that? Glad that I’m on the other side of the world because if I saw this show my life would be complete. See SFA took over as my favorite band when the Boo's cease to exist. I really do like the direction Bravecaptain has gone but is no longer number one. Looking very forward to the next release.

From NME:
“The double CD package
Find The Way Out
, will feature album tracks, newly
remastered
singles, B-side rarities and unreleased songs spanning the 1990s.â€
So does this mean that only the singles and not the whole Anthology is going to get remastered treatment? |

Oh, and the album sleeve looks fabulous!
But... what's that yellow thing? |
I'm pretty sure it's a juicer for citrus fruits, you put half an orane (or whatever) in the top, pull the arm down like a one-armed bandit and bob's your auntie!
Sean Moore would probably be able to tell you the brand...
makes you realise how dull the majority of cd covers are these days when you see something so striking. and no band picture! though hopefully there's some piccies in the booklet.
I've just looked at the bigger picture, that is one awesome piece of artwork! |

Martin - On an interview here
http://members.tripod.com/~workshy/in1.htm
from 1995, you say that the original version of Wake Up Boo sounded Lazarus-esque, has you still got a copy of that version? |

this comp is becoming a nightmare.
i still have to knock 12(!) minutes off side 2. its in danger of just being a singles comp which was not the idea at all.

Cut out the non-single album tracks if anything, as the b-sides you have on there are as good as the album tracks anyway to someone who's only heard the singles before, but better for people who already have the albums.
Or, be groundbreaking and include the tracks you have to cut off as mp3's on the CD in a data section - it's the future, I've tasted it!

its not really for people who have the albums and i dont think the b-sides are as good as 'four saints' or 'joel'.
mp3 thing is agood idea which immediately disqualifies it according to the record company handbook.

Why? I just put all those songs together and the total length of them all is 84 minutes and 49 seconds... OK, I've got all the single and radio edits there, but just remove "Tomorrow" for example
(that would be my choice, "Superintendent" is better anyway)
and it's under 80 minutes again... so what's the problem?
Wake Up Boo: Music For Astronauts -
[ 8:55 ]
Blues For George Michael -
[ 8:48 ]
Find The Answer Within (single edit) -
[ 3:11 ]
Joel -
[ 6:10 ]
It's Lulu (single edit) -
[ 2:35 ]
Reaching Out From Here -

From The Bench At Belvidere -
[ 4:23 ]
Almost Nearly There -
[ 3:36 ]
What's In The Box? (single edit) -
[ 3:30 ]
Four Saints -
[ 4:26 ]
New Brighton Promenade -
[ 3:05 ]
C'mon Kids (single edit) -
[ 3:46 ]
Ride The Tiger (radio edit) -

Tomorrow -
[ 4:53 ]
Put Your Arms Around Me And

I hang suspended
must
stay on it. And maybe a re-recorded version, with pubes replacing word. Honest!! Maybe a secret track at the end acoustic by Martin alone. It would be great!!!!!!! Great to take Boos fans back to their youth, well actually...just me!! Maybe not. |
