John Mac correctly (as usual observed)
>>Nicky Campbell appears to think that a bit of good natured racist chanting is OK once everyones had a few beers, as long as its in a "football context".<<
http://football.guardian.co.uk/Columnists/Column/0,,1731689,00.html
I read that too and it put me in a foul mood. he reckons it's only the germans that it's ok to denigrate but he does it to the french every morning on his radio 5 live show.
jingoistic cunt.
there, i've said it.

But you can't have everything, and when I think of some of the Preston v Plymouth games I've seen over the years I guess we would both be happy with the way things have ended up - so many clubs have gone the other way! |
Obivously the 6-4 is my fave one - it made the clubs thrillers dvd, as did a 6-1 defeat to the arse for fucks sake like we wanted to watch it again i mean Rocastle (RIP) was a pleasure to watch but not against us! - but the 3-2 at Deepdale the year ya won the league and we won the play-offs and the following seasons 2-0 to us at HP (live on sky) stand out for too. As do the PNE skins at HP for the 6-4 I was 11 but i can still picture them going absolutely mental with delight when yer made it 4-3 five minutes from the end! |

Did Alan Hansen really say "the product is great" rather than "that was a good game" on Match of The Day last night? I think he did. Come on Al, you're better than that, surely you could at least pretend that football is worth more than those ropey jumpers you're advertising for Marks and Spencer. And all credit to Iain Dowie for being the first person in 70 years of live football on TV to actually say that they disagreed with what one of the other pundits had said. We need more Iain Dowe's in the world and less Graham Le Saux's. |

Maybe it just proves that being a Guardian reading ex-footballer doesn't make you incisive, intelligent, articulate or even witty.
The Ia(i)n's Dowie and Holloway are the best things to happen in managerland for a long time.
I wholeheartedly concur with John Mc. _________________ Be sad, be happy and be wise |

We've got Chelsea again, for the 10th time in 2 seasons. I'd rather play Birmingham every week. |

Yeah, but there's 2 things you've gotta take from that.
1. It's still the first time in living memeory that we've ever got any sort of positive result at Leeds.... ever. After years of being thrashed or just damned unlucky (Did I remember to say ever cos I still can't quite believe it?)
2. Why get the dodgy decisions now when we're mid-table and safe (and who'd have thought we'd be saying that even at Christmas). Save 'em til next season when we're pushing for the play-offs. _________________ Be sad, be happy and be wise |

this should be in 'tune of the day' but i don't want to be shouted at:
http://s46.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3VFUIK0Z0UEUL2YT0WZE0BLCG3
Mourinho said don't worry Chelsea have nothing to fear
But how he went so quiet when up popped Luis Garcia
His shot it had no power but then he took his goal
And now he's taking Rafa to Istanbul
Rafael, Rafael, Rafa in Istanbul
Benitez said don't worry I'll wipe away your tears
Cos Stevie G's a red and a red he'll be next year
You can keep you John Terry stick your Lampard up your arse
Cos Carragher is here and Gerrard's staying ours
Rafael, Rafael, Rafa in Istanbul

Jose Mourinho, Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, Sam Allardyce, Bryan Robson, and David O'Leary... moaning minnies all.
But, next season, the Premiership is set to see the king of moaners, sore losers, and all-round, petulant little child...
Step forward, Neil Warnock!
