You realise that you are currently working illegally?
If you haven't opted out once you hit 48 hours you can tell your employer to F'Off! It's also their responsibility to make sure they aren't asking you to do more than that and if they are you could probably have 'em.

france have a law like this but i think its only 38 hours a week. I worked for a company which had an office in paris and apparently people just stopped work at 2pm on Friday afternoon, even if they still had stuff to do, and headed home for the weekend. fuck 'productivity gains' and trying to bleed every last penny out of everyone, surely we've reached a stage now where we can relax a bit and spend more time arsing around, doing stuff we actually enjoy and generally not working. from the look of that graph I fancy moving to lithuania when I come back to Europe. |
