is something better than nothing for these? i've had a go at happens to all of us (is that the name - i'd assumed it was happens to us all Confused ), but a lot is missing. oh well, here's what i've got so far:

dream dream now
down by the river
calls on me
drift drift down
down to where the sun
meets a sea
can't even say my name or hold my eyes
happens to us all i know

where is he
and what is written (?)
(???)
sleep sleep sleep
to die seems so easy
(???)
happens to us all i know

[the (?)s are where i'm not sure about what i've written, the (???)s are where i can't make it out at all. that's not to say the rest is right...]

every drop of blood that falls
i have to share it with you all
pain's not pleasure it just hurts
i rub the tears into the dirt
no i shared it with you all
man like me had far to fall
i gave you all

every drop of blood that falls
i have to share it with you all
pain's not pleasure it just hurts
i rub the tears into the dirt
no i shared it with you all
man like me had far to fall
i gave you all

catweazle. i'm struggling a bit with this one

thought i'd escaped from a feeling of late
that i get whenever you are near
(???) into your (???)
and i thought everything was nothing(?)

gave myself up to the devil last night
just whatever i could find
now i will fight
don't deny what you said
cos i heard all your words crystal clear

and you said (and you said, and you said)
i never wanna be like you (oh oh)

and you said (and you said, and you said)
i never wanna be like you
be like you (oh oh)

oh catweazle (x12)

i've always wondered about this line and if this is correct (and by christ, in my book it is), this is one of the finest lyrics ever.

someone hurry up and do finest kiss, my tape is too fuzzy.

There are some heroic efforts here, thanks for having a go.

Are there any further suggestions for these:

Everybird
The Finest Kiss
Hip Clown Rag

If we can get suggestions for these then we might be able to get this mother online by the end of today.

The Finest Kiss:

I think about you some, sometimes
Cos, I know, it helps my piece of mind
It's not that I don't notice you
I have (or maybe, and i guess this is the problem bit: 'Her love')
So bright it stings my eyes (definetely 'stings')
So bright it stings my eyes (could be 'strains' or 'stains')

I could attempt to turn, turn away
Cos I know I can't escape myself
Just don't expect any sense
Cos you'll find
It's just a waste of time
It's just a waste of time

Have you seen her?
The finest kiss is mine
Have you seen her?
Heaven every time

Is this some kind of joke cos if you have EAF you'll find the lyric in the detail at the bottom left of the Boo Radley bowler hat man, but if that was only on the vinyl and in case you were wondering...

Lazy Day

Come stab it faster
The demon that's inside me
If that's what you're after
Do it quick
Hurt me

(x2)

I apologise.

I did an 18 hour shift with no break yesterday and had a quick look at the website during the brief period when we're allowed access and noted down a list of songs to have a listen to as much as anything.

Got fuck all sleep last night cos the boy racers and the ambulances were doing their stuff til all hours, and it was too hot and I was too knacked to shut the window and then the water board started drilling around 9.

So I didn't notice Lazy Day had already been done, but there are snippets of lyrics to all the songs on EFA on the logo side of the inner sleeve.

And Lazy Day is there in full

It was many summers ago!

So to redeem, and I'd forgotten how good this song is, my stab at:

EVERYBIRD

Another day
You ask me, how it is I feel
What can I say
What can I say
You don't know how it feels to be lonely
You don't know how it feels to be there
You can't understand a thing inside
That's what makes you feel alive
Everybird makes me feel that still

And now I know
Another day too far
How can you say
Find your own way
You don't know how it feels to be lonely
You don't know how it feels to be there
You can't understand a thing inside
That's what makes you feel alive
Everybird makes me feel that still

Some variations:
Kaleidescope:
...I rub the tears into the dirt
THOUGH I shared between you all
man like me has far to fall....

The Finest Kiss
I think about you ZOE (?) sometimes...

It's not that I don't notice you
but I find the light it stains my eyes...

(definitely stains I would say)

Everybird - made some notes last night; forgive me if I've missed a line
Anothe day
You ask me what it is I say
What can I say? What can I say?
You don't know know how it feels to be lonely
You don't know how it feels to be sad
You can't understand the pain inside
(Tragedy?) makes me feel alive
Everybird can make me feel the same.

I didn't concentrate for the second verse - memories, memories - but I think the main variation is:
what can I say? Find your own way...
