I just came on line to ask the same thing.

Kari?

How many other people do we have living around there?

Hello. I'm ok, and I think all of my friends are too. All the phones are buggered though. I think that as the facts get out today is going to get worse and worse unfortunately...

Presumably the phones are fucked to give extra bandwidth to the security services? Rumour and misinformation is taking control. I'm in Fulham (West) and the sirens etc are going ding-dust even here...

Not cool.

I have so many relatives and freinds in London, this evening for me has been terrible. Luckily people have been e-mailing and letting us know they are ok without any prompting. Thing is, I am hearing so many stories of people missing trains or being sick for the day it's really uncanny.

I hope everybody is safe

thanks for your concern, safe inside the ancient stone pile, luckily not too close to the danger zones. Che wants to add his own bit:

i left bedfordshirepool as one may call it a little while ago in search of the noisy life.

i managed to escape it. came VERY close + am totally shit up about it. all is well though so let us all hope that they get the fuckers who did this.

ironic. spend years trying to get back to london, get back + some fucker's trying to blow it up.

cunts.

awful, weird fucking day. hard to get people on mobile or e-mail all day so had that low, empty feeling in my guts. still there.

and however much we blame the politicians for putting us here, the blame rests solely with the fuckers that did this.

love not hate, strength not cruelty.

what a surreal day. my flatmate was on the train behind the one that got hit at liverpool st/aldgate/aldgate east. not cool. living in aldgate east seemed like such a good idea at the time...
no one i know's been hurt, so i'm feeling quite lucky at the moment.
