i'm a geek and i disagree.

the best football games ever:
football director - spectrum
matchday 2 - spectrum
championship manager - pc
sensible soccer - megadrive
pro ev - playstation

best other games ever:
super bomber man - super nintendo
street fighter 2 - super nintendo
mario kart - super nintendo

now i realise why i have no girlfriend or social skills. i've wasted my life.

i know all the others but football director.
matchday 2 was ace indeed, i spent hours and hours playing it with my brother. championship manager 97/98 was the best of the series, although i stopped playing those games in 2000.
i loved the original sensible soccer, but sensible world of soccer was much better. my favourite footy game of all time actually.
pro ev 4 is the best one out there right now... i find it a bit easy though.

football director was simple as fuck but massively addictive, none of this giving players ratings for 'speed', 'stamina' and 'ability to cross' nonsense, oh no. all their abilities were summed up in one simple mark out of 10. a 12 year old John Mc spent months playing this game and eventually took Liverpool to league and FA cup success. you can download it now on one of those spectrum emulators for the pc but i'm scared to play it again in case its not as good as i remember.

I agree with most of it actually. A little peeved that Final Fantasy 7 wasn't in the top ten, but a lot of my fave games of all time are in there. (Secret Of Mana, Half Life, Deus Ex, etc.)

Oh, and this is coming from the guy who has spent the past two months getting his backside kicked at Tetris Attack (#76 on that chart).

Melz.
