why are most of the bands who were meant to be a part of it no longer around?
fuckin' Britpop, I'm sick of it. So what, it's 10 years since 1995, big deal.

But they all lived in Camden and wrote wry observational lyrics, surely you can see how important that was for the time? |

I was 17 years old in 1995 and it was a right laugh. Yes, 95% of the music was tosh, but it made me leap about whilst drunk, and surely that's the point. My favourite records of that year were by Pavement and Flaming Lips, which is telling.
All this 'anniversary' business is just nostalgia for malcontents. _________________ never ever bloody anything ever |
