The new White Stripes one is full of piano fun and the best thing on a really weak album by a long way, the new Black Eyed Pea's one is crap though. Has anyone heard the new Franz Ferdinand single yet? |

Yep and I like it but not love it.
Fave singles of the moment are
Nightjoy by KUBICHEK!
At A Window by TURNCOAT
Sanctuary by REDCARSGOFASTER
Best singles of the year are the aforementioned Kubichek! one, both Bullets and Munich by Editors, A Quiet Life by the Longcut and Last Resort by Dead 60s.
'Tis been a great year for British indie!
Hoorah! |

new franz ferdinand single makes no sense due to no question mark in the title - somebody should have spotted that! |

A quick Google informs me it's called "Do You Want To" no question mark, see.
The standards of English in this country are really slipping. These young 'uns can't use punctauation properly. What sort of example are these popular beat combos giving to the spotty yoofs of today?
I'm surprised that there is no question mark because I've noticed that a lot of people have started going up at the end of every sentence? Like they're Californian or something? or maybe Australian? So it sounds like everything they say is a question?
Perhaps everything is a question and they're just unsure of themselves, hadn't thought of it like that before!

Quite right Dubya, even statements are questions these days:
"What did you get up to at the weekend?"
"We went to a club? And had a few beers? You should come too next time. Do you want to."
"I can't answer because that is not a question."
The worst thing is the video, set in an art gallery, with the title of the song plastered all over everything. Surely one person in the video shoot could pointed out that all the props were missing a question mark - although there is something to be said for consistency as is illustrated by the sign outside my local kebab house:
Burger's
Chips
So if you order the Burger and Chips you can't eat the chips because when you take one the burger tells you to put it down because it isn't yours. |

It coulda been so much more interesting
No comma either.
Do, you want to.
No exclamation mark.
Do! You want to.
No combination of both.
Do, you want to! |

Heard the Franz Ferdinand single today, sounded OK, more glam and less joy division than i'd expected it to be. |
