have you seen the clip of him?
maybe I am just easily fooled, but to me he most certainly did not look like a man saying those things to shift cds
just a sickened, stuttering, angry as fuck man needing to tell people the truth. |

I know it's easy to think this cynical though, but the few Kanye West tunes I have heard have deal with issues that black people face in America (in a real way), so I think it's probably something close to his heart.

nice to see U2, amongst others, helping raise awareness and funds for the people affected
as opposed to just cementing themselves into the hearts of potential music buyers.. er, I mean, Americans

Dame Shirley Bassey is furious after discovering rapper Kanye West sampled her 1971 James Bond hit "Diamonds Are Forever" in his single "Diamonds From Sierra Leone."
The 68-year-old star is considering legal action after West used the chorus from the 007 soundtrack song and alleges his record label Roc-A-Fella never approached her, reports British newspaper the Daily Mail.
Bassey says, "I didn't know anything about the song before its release.
"He didn't ask my permission to have me singing on the his song. I didn't even know it existed until I heard him performing at the Live 8 concert. I didn't even hear from his record company, which wasn't very nice.
"(Legally) it's something I want to look into, because he was very cheeky, so one way or another he is going to have to pay me a lot of money."
As well as the mucial link to 007, West's track about conflict diamonds from Sierra Leone was also a plot point of the last 007 movie "Die Another Day."
Kanye West has been looting, I see |
