Wish I was skinny should have ended up like The La's There She Goes. Played everywhere, known by everyone the world over, loved by all xxx _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

Loved by all except me, I never got why everyone thinks it so good. Maybe this should be on that boats and harbour thread, I'm very bad at sticking to the themes of threads these days. |

I was given Giant Steps as a gift from someone who woud later become my girlfriend (how could I not fall in love ith someone with such good taste?).
As usual with me, I didn't really listen to the album properly for a while - maybe played it twice when I was first given it.Then one night at a gig, I heard 'Wish I was Skinny' played beforehand and thought it was really good. Went home, listend to the album properly..and couldn't stop listening.
Now Giant Steps (along with Disintegration by The Cure) is one of my favourite albums ever and one I always go back to.
So, if it wasn't for 'Wish I was Skinny".... |
