THE GREEN MAN FESTIVAL 2006 !NEW!
http://www.thegreenmanfestival.co.uk

"a magical event" - The Times
"Festival of The Year" - The Guardian (John Harris)

AUGUST
18th/19th/20th - Green Man Festival (venue tba)

Following the success of 2005's Festival, where it was listed in countless publications as one of the summer's best events, the Green Man Festival, which has been nominated for 'Event of The Year' at this Saturday's PopFactory awards in Wales, will return for it's fourth year in August 2006.

Taking place at a venue to be announced in Powys, Wales; the festival will run over the third weekend - 18th, 19th and 20th - of August. Festival goers will be allowed into the site from midday on Thursday 17th August, and a new licence will mean that live acts will be able to play from 12:00 midday to an extended time of 1:00am.

In addition to the live acts there will also be improved film, literature, workshop and children's areas, with DJs playing into the night. The new, improved site will also mean that more people will be able to attend the event with better facilities and a wider selection of food and drink on offer. The festival will still retain it's country fair vibe whilst shunning any form of corporate sponsorship.

Tickets for the event, at a price tba, will go on sale in early 2006, when the initial headlining acts, ticket price and the venue will be announced.

More information to come, but, as organisers It's Jo and Danny say: "The magic of Green Man 2005 blew us away. We will never forget the full moon over Bonnie 'Prince' Billy as he sang 'I See A Darkness'. We are already looking forward to next year's festival - there is such a wealth of amazing music out there we can't wait to bring it all together!"
