That's very good - sparse and minimal, and I love the way the vocals come out at me when the get double-tracked about half-way through [at least, I think that's what is going on].
My first impression was that it could have done with some percussion to 'help it along', but after repeated listens it's the musical equivalent of a walk up Moel Arthur on a January morning... cool, spacious and revitalizing.
You won't have any objections to me playing this on the radio, will you?

Totally correct on the double tracking in chorus.. You get 10/10 Mr Walton!!..
Hmmm.. I had thought about playing some congas over the top of the track but I just thought the minimal effect worked and anymore might over complicate it. We'll have some new full band stuff for you around feb.. We're going into our local studio in jan to get some of our new stuff down. It's sad but I couldn't sleep last night because I was thinking about recording.. What a GEEK.. |
