I nearly choked on my coffee this morning when I read this on the bbc:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/wiltshire/8288567.stm
BBC wrote:
Archaeologists have discovered a mini-Stonehenge, a mile from the site of Wiltshire's famous stone circle.

If you've watched Spinal Tap you'll probably know why I found it so funny... Laughing

So my TotD is Stonehenge by Spinal Tap!

'Convinced of the Hex' - Flaming Lips.

All the reviews seem to be talking "commercial suicide" but if you want a dark, loose, krautrock version of the Flaming Lips (and who wouldn't?) I think it's ace.

I really don't know who i fucking hate more, policiticians or "journalists" from the mail/express/telegraph/times - all i do know is i'd love to be in a position to kick seven bells out of pretty much all of 'em... Viva la revolution!!

anyhoo TOTD - its Thursday - is Lowlines "Sound of Music", they and some lovely guiness kinda chilled me at my last Louis gig of the year last night.

Oh and yeah, FONY is still utterly wonderful, one of very very few songs that has been played to death yet is still amazingly ace. Best C'mas tunes ever though are Flaming Lips "A Change At Christmas" and Depature Lounges "Christmas Downer". Oh and the Cocteaus doing Frosty The Snowman.... oh that poor melted no longer with us snowman Sad

If you'd like to have even more reasons to hate the Mail and the rest, the chap who does this blog reads all their lies & nonsense so that you don't have to:

http://enemiesofreason.blogspot.com/

It's great, well worth a read.

yup bev i'll buy you a beer for that link... if we ever meet. if not then if i ever bump into the person that writes it (it seems he's a local) i'll buy him one instead. if i ever meet both of you well you can fight over the drink Smile

agree its an amazing site. its incredibly joyous and uplifting yet also predictably depressing given how it shows how shite much of the popular press is.

and ain't it incredible that having done the scum piece on steven gately the mail proudly out some gay rugby player.... gawd it fucks me off and to me that's as bad as souness selling his book rights to the sun.

anyway totd is we were promised jetpacks "roll up your sleeves".
