Every single track off "Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain". In it's own unassuming way it's the best album ever made. |

Seconded. There's no way I'd be as cool and attractive as I am now if it wasn't for the presence of Crooked Rain in my life from aged 16. _________________ never ever bloody anything ever |

Crooked Rain... didn't come out until I was 18 which explains why I'm not as cool, or as attractive, as I'd like to be.

I tried ever record shop in Meadowhall on Sunday for Me Myself and Rye, but that album seems to be like a dodgy rogue state, with shops refusing to acknowledge it's very existence.
So I downloaded it last night. It can get horribly samey at times, but there are some great great tunes on it - 'Paul Simon' being a real standout. I can certainly see Polyphonic Spree comparisons, but can't figure out where the Giant Steps link comes from...

I couldn't find it it in the shops either so for the first time ever I bought a full album off Itunes. Surely you should be able to download high quality version of the songs from there rather than just MP3's given that it costs £8 per album. The record industry is evil.
It does get a bit samey, I reckon that's cos it’s a compilation album so they've picked out all the poppy stuff. |

all that crooked rain business reminds me of 'give it a day' which i think came out just before it and really really was the tops. not least for the line 'and the word spread/just like smallpox in the sudan.' |
