The medley bit at the end of Abbey Road. If in doubt, turn to The Beatles.

The 'h' key on my macbook has broken so typing every sentence involved nimble cut and paste finger work action. I'm not gonna buy any more Apple stuff, its great when it works but need to remortgage your house every time something goes wrong.

What flavour music do the whip make? I've not heard them.

my c key fell off - there is a german guy on ebay selling replacement keys for about a quid, including the bit of plastic that secures them.

yesterday i spilt a cup of coffee and it landed on my mac book, my wireless keyboard, my mouse, my t-shirt, trousers, carpet and my big fancy chair all at the same time.

in the afternoon i also spilt a tin of soup. it was a bad day.

Tune of the day has to be The Days That God Sold You by Paperlung, because my CD that was posted 20 days ago 2 hours down the motorway in Oxford has finally fought its way through strikes, floods, blue tongue disease and who knows what else to get to me!

kinda kellys clotted cream ice cream combined cookie dough, a sprinkling of choccie topping and a flake. with a milkshake on the side. all ends up as one crazy sugar high. and you'll be back for more. and then more again.

or

the comparisons with new order are, unusually, right.

are new order an ice cream to?

"Sounds like watching Trainspotting with Justice, Simian Mobile Disco and Franz Ferdinand, and the ghost of Ian Curtis may appear!" NME

Sice is in NME this week talking about the Boo's doing a gig with Oasis. I always feel a bit tragic reading it these days, like an old man trying to hang on to his lost youth.

Anyway, so I probably stole that Radio 1 40 years thing from t'internet amd found that Robbie's version of Lola is rather good. Also the Editors doing Lullaby is interesting. Kind of sounds like Joy Division covering it and yet it still sounds like The Cure (Kiss Me... era). Also like The Streets take on Your Song. The lyrics suit his style.

On the subject of covers I also have a soft spot for Marillion's version of Britney's Toxic! Seriously.

My tune for the week 44 is...

El Caminos In The West by Grandaddy .

It's from their second last album Sumday (2003) and I only just found out the other day that they've split up last year. Sad Why do I always discover all the good bands too late?
Thanks to smokeyoliv who used to post here for introducing me to the band... where are you hiding nowadays?

Exclamation
