Hello there nice people, I've got a slight problem I was wondering if any one could help with...

I've been asked to provide the music for my friend's 30th birthday (yeah I'm a gimmer too!) ['coz the band he hired has pulled out at the last min]

So somehow some mp3s and my lap top have got to keep people happy for an evening.

Has any one got any sugestions for some tracks that'll do the business?
Or any sugestions about how to get people of their arses (I don't intend to say anything or even if possible be seen Embarassed !!)

Any help would be appreciated as I'm both clueless and terified!

Thanks

[Tracks picked so far include: pin-yeahyeahyeah's, The power is on-The Go! Team, House of Love-Shampoo Embarassed , Get A Move on - The QSO, Atomic-Blondy, Destroy Everything you Touch-Ladytron, Pump Up the Volume-M.A.R.S, The color of Tempo-Prefuse73, and a mass of old britpop Embarassed ]

If only more DJ's didn't say anything and were never seen the world would be a better place.

Is a big family birthday gathering or just your young hip mates? I reckon the trick is to get the girls dancing and everyone else will follow. Extensive research conducted over the past couple of weeks has revealed that 79% of girls love Usher. Play Usher for the first two hours, then Wonderwall on repeat for the next two hours cos the boys will be drunk by then.

Surely Mr Carr swears at them, which is a bit different. However I'm in no position to criticise middle of the road AOR guitar bands who wear colourful plastic wristbands, I've recently discovered that when I'm hungover or tired I like 'Talk' by Coldplay rather a lot. I'm still cool though. Honestly.
