I went to see Paperlung on thursday at the Dublin Castle and they were fantastic. Sice still has the voice of an angel and the humble amiability that so many other frontmen lack, and has surrounded himself with a talented and enthusiastic young band and the songs were all well crafted gems
I will definitely be going to at least one of the next 2 London gigs, if not both of them. The demos available on their site are well worth downloading as is the single.
Surprised to see so few people there, seemed to be mainly friends and relations of all the bands on the bill. The kids of today are philistines.
As the Boo Radleys are one of my favourite bands ever, I was hoping they would reform when the best of compilation came out, but after seeing Sice's new band and my continuing love affair with Brave Captain's releases, put the reunion on ice for a while lads, it's far better to have 2 great bands gigging and releasing superb material than just the one.
Buy the single and go and see them, a truly great band |

Yeah, single release has been put back slightly for distribution reasons, there's other people getting involved now. But for anyone who comes to see us on the tour we will have copies you can buy "pre-release" which also have the second track 'a cautionary vision of the future'... blimey i gotta have a word with wee man and get him to shorten these track names! |

I'm going to watch them on Wednesday or Thursday. Why are they called 'Paperlung'? |

Good point disco, where the hell where were all the usual suspects on saturday?? Martin turned up and Gotti made an appearance but very few familiar faces. Good gig tho and i had a plethora of bass players wanting to touch my "magic thumb" which was quite amusing if not a little embarassing... oh and why are we called Paperlung? cos we just are... |
