Never heard of them til my brother sent me this album. Heard it three times now and can't wait to get to the shops to buy a copy. It's fan-fucking-tastic!

p.s. anyone heard any other their other albums? If they are as good as this I'm getting the lot x _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

Never heard of them... might have to check them out now, though!
I hope you're not at work today, Kinkstoffer. _________________

I've got the one called 'you forgot it in people' which is really good. Time=cause is a great song. This record maybe loses it a bit on the last third but i would still recommend it highly. They had a cool video where they are all wearing gas masks for the time=cause song. check it. |

I got into 'You Forgot It In People' a couple of years ago, thanks to the unhealthy minds at Pitchfork, and that is a frequently stunning album. I'm not so sure about the new one - it's yet to grab hold of me properly, although I think 'Ibi Dreams Of Pavement' is one of the best tunes I've heard recently. _________________ never ever bloody anything ever |

There's a good article in Wired magazine this month about Pitchfork and it uses Broken Social Scene as an example of a band that they helped to reach a wider audience. |

I saw them last weekend at a festival called Electric Picnic here in ireland. Now on the subject of electric picnic, can I just say...Wot a festival!! It was unreal, the coolest crowd, the most unbelievable gigs, New order nearly reduced me to tears (it was that fucking brilliant) and all sorts of other crazy stuff like political debates, theatre, cinema, comedy, dancing and of course loads of good times! I'm still not right after it though. Oh yeah another highlight was a band I first heard mentioned by Martin here. The Earlies. They were just what we needed washing over us on a sunday evening before we went mental at basement jaxx. Great end to the summer! _________________ www.myspace.com/storkboychoons
