Band's don't sell my albums do they. According to this...
http://forums.dfarecords.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2257&start=0
...the LCD Soundsystem album sold 60,000 copies in America. That doesn't strike as being very many considering America is a very big place and LCD Soundsystem are a big-ish deal in an indie type way. The American press needs to concentrate on this sort of issue rather than debating whether Obama or Clinton will be the next president.
Actually the DFA Board has less members than the BC board one. I'm gonna write to James Murphy and ask if I can interview him, that's what I'm gonna do.
Kinkster - you went to that festival in Spain last year, I'm going this year, give me advice and inside knowledge. I want to go to Coachella again cos the line up is ace but I'm in dull grown up mode this year can't afford it. |

Benicassim? My number one piece of advice is GET A HOTEL!
If you camp, as my friends did, you get roughly two hours sleep a day, before wakinging up in a pool of sweat having lost 2 stones in body weight. You are then too tired to do anything during the day, and thus fall asleep during the gigs!
The centre of Benicassim is only a 20 minute walk from the festival, so it's not a hike, you will however, be expected to pay through the nose for a room, I think I was charged about £30-a-night for the few days beforehand, then £100-a-night during.....
Also, when at the main stage, stand behind the mixing desk, the sound is ten times better.

Good top tips. I don't deal well with heat so a hotel is the way forward. But I also don't deal well with paying lots of money for hotel rooms. This is going to be a more expensive trip than I'd planned.
Thanks. |

A slightly cheaper option is to camp, then pay to get into the Water Park every day. A lot of people were doing this, then sleeping under the trees in there. Good chance to clean up too, obviously... _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,

Think I'm gonna have to do that, really can't afford an expensive trip. Gazebo's over tents, offering valuable shade, are the way forward. |
