Hello,

I heard a tune by The Shins last night that I found to be rather good.

Are The Shins rather good? Or have I been mislead on this one?

Thanks!

i have only heard their last album, chutes too narrow, but that is indeed rather good in a timeless melodic guitar pop kind of way.

The Shins are genius and legends.
That is all.

Wincing the Night away, their new album (I shouldn't have it, but do somehow) is absolutely amazing. Expect 2007 to be the year of The Shin

Can't reccomend The Shins highly enough. All 3 albums to date have been belters (including the new one which I, erm, somehow chanced upon).

Hmm, I'm afraid I'm quite underwhelmed.

As such, I now have their first two albums for sale.

If anyone is interested send me a PM.

Their new album is quite a bit more sonically adventurous than either of those albums. Though there are some great songs on them too.

Fuck me. Wincing The Night Away is AMAZING. It's worth every penny and a few more, just for the first song!

I am listening to their new one now - it is my first time.

Sounds pretty good on 1st play - a bit of Pavement-influence never hurt anyone did it? But it's no Crooked Rain.

Actually...... I totally overreacted. On first listen I thought it was a lot better than their previous two efforts and got carried away with myself.

It still sounds quite MOR to me Crying or Very sad

p.s. Can't stop listening to Herculean by TGTBATQ.
