M is for Mars Volta, The

Deloused At The Crematorium is a a huge slab of knowingly complex rock with heaps of guitar fretwankery and songs about things I don't understand. It has catchy song songtitles such as "This Apparatus Must Be Unearthed" and "Roulette Dares (The Haunt Of)" and I love it unconditionally.

Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala will be the names of my two first born children.

N is for Ned's Atomic Dustbin

They had oh so shite haircuts, two bassists, cool t-shirts, even cooler baggy shorts and they rocked.... fast.

I almost got crushed in a moshpit when i fell on the floor at one of their gigs and it felt like it was only my mates out stretched hand that saved me from a trampling. In Stoke on Trent for fucks sake, I can think of better places than that to end my days

Still love Kill Your Television, Grey Cell Green, Happy and Trust

A great band to remind me of great times.... TTLC is right about The Family Cat too, early 90's good days!

p 4 PREFaB SPROuT

in the 90's, when i left home and was strugglin' to find music companions, i could be found in pubs sat in the corner musing (to myself like a madman) over who was better, martin carr or paddy mc. i could never decide. now its easy, post Dolby paddy has been really erratic while r man martin kept the good tunes coming.

but for 4 top albums, particularly Jordon The Comeback (only rivalled by Kingsize for its poptastic aceness) and some top lyrics they'll always have a place in me 'eart.

queen r my most hated band of all time!

nowt to do with cool n that, from the horrible reasons (playing Sun City, they could hardly plead poverty) through to the not so serious being one of the reasons behind the 'orrible new football world with the utter horribleness that is we are the champions. has there ever been a worse song committed to record?

R is for Republic Of Loose.

If you don't like them, your taste in music is shite.
