i am planning a triumphant return to england next week and am looking for somewhere to stay in london for a week or so. does anyone know of cheap hotels/b&b etc that are in a good spot for doing a bit of touristy activity in the fine city. any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're looking for cheap and cheerful... check out this site:

HostelWorld.com

They've got a couple in central London, plus there's reviews so you can avoid the shitty ones.
