I say coincidence, because I was only thinking about my single of the year this morning, and that tune was right up there, along with Time To Pretend.

time to pretend is deffinately one of the best singles this year. i love it lots. i hate the rest of the album though and i hope that i never have to see them on any live bill again either. they were 80s scary. i really don't know how they did time to pretend 'cos its so good, i s'pose most bands have one decent tune in them and that's mgmt's. interesting article and list, i don't get how daggers (who i fink are pretty erratic) don't get more publicity/attention 'cos they seem to do the 80s pop electro revival thing pretty well.

'time to pretend' is one of those moments where pop music just works.

What TTLC and Sparky said.

The big question:

Is their name pronounced 'M-G-M-T' or is it shorthand and therefore 'Management'?
