It sounds like half a song that's about to go somewhere but instead stops. However, what a beautiful half a song! I'm suddenly open tot he idea of Martin writing songs for other peoples vocals again

If the results are going to sound this great, so am I! It seems to be a very strange and uncertain time for music at the moment, especially since Ash took the 'singles club' idea we all trialled five years ago! So I'm just happy that Martin is still writing and creating. _________________ "It's too beautiful to stay inside..." |

There's yet another new song up on Martin's soundcloud page... it's the best one so far, I love those haunting organs (or whatever) and the piano on the background. _________________

It's the best thing I've heard all year. _________________ "It's too beautiful to stay inside..." |

It's lovely, but it's not as good as I Use These Symbols.

I think "Wake Up Amelie" is soul warmingly gorgeous and I want more of the same please.
That woman's voice is beautiful, which will make it all the more disappointing when we find out it's actually Martin messing around with his voice using science, sellotape and magic. |

Trumpets! Yes! And that mental guitary second half is great!
Can we have an album of this stuff soon? Pleeeeease? _________________ "It's too beautiful to stay inside..." |

... and again, this time there's a nice instrumental track called 'six white horses', by black serpent choir.
and on
Martin's website
there's a huge list of songs that he's currently working on. That's enough songs for three new albums so I second Melz's wish _________________

I've got an MP3 of that somehow.. was it from here? somewhere?
No memory of acquiring it; weird. _________________ Scattershot Writing: www.jameseverington.blogspot.com |

Perhaps you're Martin's alter ego? _________________

Perhaps. Thinking about it, I've never seen myself in the same room as him.
(Apart from at at his gigs, but why let that ruin a good theory.) _________________ Scattershot Writing: www.jameseverington.blogspot.com |
