loads of us grew up in the 80's (including our very own brave captain)... doesn't mean that the music thereby has an excuse to sound pants.

If by pants you mean shiny fantastic trousers then okay. If you mean 'bad' then be serious, The Strokes make great music...I didn't like them at first cos of the hype but it is incredibly sublime. Woof. L&P

nah, i mean pants as in a big load of smelly old underwear. yeah, they had some catchy stuff, but generally as a band they never really did it for me.

thing is with the new single, if it was any other band would you even give it a second listen? not bloody likely.

Yeah, I even give a chance to stuff I immediately hate. Anyway, I think you must deal with the fact that people are different and some people actually do love The Strokes music. L&P

oh i can deal with people being different and actually loving the strokes... but that road runs both ways darlin, and i guess you must deal with me disliking them.

You're right Smile I wasn't even thinking about that ...oh and also, the reason people do give The Strokes a second chance could maybe be because they liked their first outing.
Work sucks...spare time rocks...

Amor y Paz

P.S. Haven't personally heard "12.51"
