Late contender for Single of the year, great but still not a "Hurt" beater imho.....

Take Me Out - Franz Ferdinand.

Does anyone have the Junior Senior album?
It might be pretty good. I saw them supporting Electric Six on Tuesday and they were actually better than the main act. Junior Senior are more ROCK than I ever imagined, I'm not sure if that's good or bad though, but I quite liked it. They sound better on CD though, just like Electric Six...

I also saw Inspiral Carpets the other night - they're a great live band. It's a shame they never were much of a studio band, all songs on their albums sound quite much like the same.

Don't bother with the Junior Senior album, its crap. No-one loves "Move Your Feet" more than me but the rest of the album is rubbish, a real let down.

I can see where you are coming from there. i saw them supporting someone a while ago and thought they were so good I spent my whole time at the bar.

I also think Darts of Pleasure is crap.

But Take Me out is fuckin great!

Sleepy Jackson - Lovers
Go-Betweens - Bright Yellow Bright Orange
Kraftwerk - Tour De France Soundtracks
Massive Attack - 100th Window
The Rapture - Echoes
My Morning Jacket - It Still Lives
Decal - Brightest Star
Shack - Here's Tom With The Weather
Mogwai - Happy Songs For Happy People

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Fever To Tell
Dizzee Rascal - Boy In Da Corner
Evan Dando - Baby I'm Bored
Dave Cous - Genes
Four Tet - Rounds
M83 - Deadcities,RedSeas&LostGhosts

Also really enjoyed most of The Kills, British Sea Power, Anjali, Unkle and Sidewinder.

COMPILATIONS
V/A - Original Jamaican Soundsystem Style
V/A - Lost In Translation Soundtrack (the kevin shields songs are beautiful, his choice of other tunes is pretty faultless too).
Kitchens Of Distinction - Capsule: The Best Of.
Teenage Fanclub - 4,766 Seconds: The Best Of.

MOST DISSAPOINTING
Mars Volta - De-loused...
Psychid - Psychid
Kings Of Leon - Youth & Young...

And I know that the White Stripes are getting all the best album awards but apart from 7 Nation Army I found it dull shite Rolling Eyes

Another late album entry - "Frengers (Not quite friends but not quite strangers)" by Mew. I am currently being very pleasantly surprised by this one. Especially the singles "Am I Wry? No" and "She Came Home For Christmas" Very Happy Shocked Very Happy

And I don't like the White Stripes very much either.

Christmas Time (don't let the bells end) is quite festive and good isn't it.?

On new years eve i am going to see the flaming lips and white stripes in chicago. Unfortunatly the flaming lips are the opening band so when the stripes hit the stage i guess i can get drunk and hope that the rest of next year is better... except for when they they do 7 nation army because that is a great song, just a shame about the rest of elephant.
