All they rap and sing about these days is women being bitches or having fabulous asses, how much money they have and what they buy with it or how they used to sell crack...roughly.
Hip hop has its roots in people like James Brown, a man who also worked massively for the rights of black people in the USA...it continued with acts like Public Enemy etc who talked about struggles and important issues. I feel hip hop is regressing faster than fast and the participants have become cowards who only dare criticising eachother and nothing else.

So these days, The Dixie Chicks are standing up for values...nothing wrong with that but country music isn't really where you'd expect to hear the loudest voices against the government etc.

My 50 cents...hahahaha...sorry...what do you think?
Love and Peace

nugget from Jay'Z's black album:

"I dumbed down for my audience
Doubled my dollars
They criticize me for it
Yet they all yell "HOLLA!"
If skills sold, truth to told
I'd probably be
Lyrically, Talib Kweli
Truthfully I wanna rhyme like Common Sense
But I did 5 Mil..
I ain't been rhyming like Common since!"

Check out Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Blackstar, Common, bravecaptain's faves Dead Prez etc etc.

Hey, just because I haven't dug deep doesn't mean I'm an MTV whore...
