In a choice between John Cale MC Mabon and Bravecaptain there is no choice i.e. no competition.

not to disagree or say not to vote for the captain (you should -- go do it now!)... but you should check out mc mabon... "the hunt for meaning" is superb.

I do sometimes think that rather than spending thirty squids a month on CD's I should be spending it on Broadband.......... but then I think I need to get out more

anyone else like not into downloading like in exchange for buying like.
cause i am
i agree with downloading for trying out new music, but not to download a whole album and then bung it on a cd and claim i own it.
thats damn right wrong i say.
i can't see why we can't just stream songs to see if you like it, and then buy if ya do.
and if you aint got the money
tough!!!
you'll just have to wait.
hmm.
anyway,
surely you're life it much better with those albums than without, eh kris???.
especially loveless.
and while i'm at it, go buy the rest of her space holiday back catalogue.
you know it makes sense
pauled. |

My brother had Loveless for years and I never was a fan.
After the comments on here I went out and bought it to see if I was wrong.
and I have to say I wasn't. I'm still not a fan.
sorry

Just got the young machines for now, but next pay day (if I get that far) will see me hunting the collection down
Sleepy California is just the saddest song I've EVER heard!

[RANT]
I agree with you Pablo.
I don't have anything against downloading music either, I do it sometimes when I want to listen to some new music or something I can't find anywhere else. Usually I buy the albums I like after that and I'm proud to say that I have no copied CDs in my collection.
When you buy a new car, you can have a test drive before you pay, there are demos for computer games... so why couldn't we do the same when buying music?
There are two things about buying CDs that really annoy me though!
The prices are far too high, £12 for 10 - 14 songs is just far too much!
The other thing is the new copy protection technology - I can't play some CDs on my computer or get them on MP3. That's wrong, because I like to make compilation CDs for me and my friends. Yes, for my friends too, but they are more like 'advertisements' for the bands on the CD... I have recommended Boo Radleys and Bravecaptain music for some of my friends for example and they have bought their albums!
