Early demo's and name "the arrivals" is a provisional one. If you go to http://www.wildplum.co.uk/music_index.php?user_id=580&user_name=The%20Arrivals
Then you can listen I would be really interested of people's opinions more tracks on the way and the lyrics for second verse have yet to be written but gives an idea.
Would really appreciate your opinions. _________________ "meltin crawled right into his mouth" |

mr meltin - your song doesn't seem to work on my computer.
what am i supposed to do? i clicked "play" but now it's been loading the song for 5+ minutes.
you can send the song to me (if you want) and i'll host it for a while so that people here can listen to it. _________________

| For some reason some of it reminds me of "What I Like About You" by The Romantics... additionally, it seems to be coming from the Noel Gallagher school of lyrics. Not an alltogether bad effort... just could use some polishing and work. |

Thanks for the input so far not sure why it didnt work on your PC Tommy. This isnt meant to be a great lyrically minded song its just aiming for that rock and roll vibe. There is other material ballads etc which is more experimental which I will post later.
Thanks for your time everybody.
p.s how do i send it to you tommy?? _________________ "meltin crawled right into his mouth" |

I don't know either, but I tried it again with Internet Explorer and it worked. The song isn't too bad, in fact I quite like it. You need to work on the guitars, they're a bit too quiet and disappointing. To make it more
rock
you need screaming guitars and stuff.
Oh, and
some more cowbell
...
(I wonder if Martin saw this video before he wrote that ending to "Wilder"...)
Anyway, it's already pretty good, but it
could
be even better... keep up the good work!

You can e-mail it to me (check my profile), but because everyone can apparently play the song on Internet Explorer at least, it wouldn't make much sense... unless you want that people would be able to
download
the song. Well, let me know. _________________

I agree with Tommy - the song is pretty good, but needs the guitar beefing up (maybe get a nice Marshall and mic it up or something), and some overdubs of louder guitars joining in at certain parts (like the chorus etc) to give it a bit more in the way of dynamics. I can't hear any bass on the recording too (but maybe that's just the recording).
Yeah - it's good, but I'd add a few more changes in terms of distortion amounts, extra instruments etc at various points to add a bit of variation, and then it will be really good.
(in my opinion!

| I like it, I agree it could do with a kick up in the distortion at some point for dynamics. I really like the drum sound, maybe a little dirtier and hit just a touch harder but theyre good like Race For The Prize, or something. |
