Doncaster Rovers have just beaten Aston Villa 3-0 at home in the 4th round of League Cup. 
Great news for Melz, but I bet Hew isn't a happy bunny tonight. O'Leary out?

according to dave w, liverpool beat sunderland 0-2 in the league tonight.
barnsley played against swindon last weekend, 0-3 for us! yeah, we're 6th in the league now! liverpool are now 4th in the premier league, that's not too bad.
we scored some cool goals too, if you want you can view the highlights

liverpool vs. real betis (ended 0-0) last week was a little bit boring, but i'm sure that everyone will disagree with me again!

So, Liverpool won their group, that's quite impressive. I didn't see the game tonight, but 0-0 away at Chelsea is pretty good - sounds like another boring goalless draw though (I might be totally wrong of course because I didn't see it!) - why do Liverpool have to wait until they reach the final before they start to play entertaining football? 
I listened to Barnsley V Tranmere on internet radio instead. Well, I bet that was even more boring, even though we won 2-1. 5th in the league now which is much better than I expected at the beginning of this season.
Donny Rovers lost 1-0 against Gillingham in League One, Rangers secured their place in the last 16 in Champions League as they played 1-1 with Inter Milan (I wonder if the Rangers are still going to sack Alex McLeish now)... Real Madrid lost once again (2-1 against Olympiakos) but they were already through anyway.

| yeah, Chelsea v Liverpool was as boring as expected. The highlights aren't even worth watching, unless you wanna see how John Terry bundled over Luis Garcia in the box and still didn't concede a Chelsea penalty against Liverpool, or how that dirty little shit Michael Essien commited another x-rated studs-to-knee tackle, this time on Dietmar Hamann, and didn't even get booked. I'd have watched the Rangers v Inter Milan game were anyone here showing it. Amazing how they're through to the knockout phase now when they've not won any of their last 10 games. Apparently, it's in Liverpool's best interests that Man Utd knock Benfica out tomorrow, and progress themselves, so Benfica won't want to hang on to Simao as much (Liverpool are supposedly after the Portuguese winger). It's a funny old game... |

Did anyone else watch Benfica vs. Man United tonight?
What a great game, especially the first half! Or maybe it was only great because Man Utd got knocked out, I don't know. Anyway, they won't even qualify for the UEFA Cup now which is ace! It'll be interesting to see how many of the glory hunter fans all around the world stay loyal to the club, now that their glory days are over.

heh, well, I suppose Man United have some real fans too... I just can't understand how some people who have never even been to Manchester, and see them play on TV once a season, can call themselves "fans". You're obviously not one of them, Crustybit, but it's quite funny that some of my friends who claimed to be the most loyal Man United fans on the planet, never talk about them anymore.
In a way I feel a bit sorry for all those Man United "fans"... and yes, I support Barnsley who now play in League One, but I've always been proud of it.
Eric Cantona is probably the only Man Utd player that I've ever liked. Roy Keane tried to be like him, but I hate him - I can't believe he didn't get a lengthy ban for what he did to Alf Inge Haaland.
Alex Ferguson is making the same mistake that Brian Clough did - he didn't understand to quit early enough and now he's not much of a legend anymore, he has lost the magic.

That said Greavsie was very nice about Argyle in his latest biography.
Modern football is rubbish, shite and very dull atmosphereless popcorn shite. Roll on relegation 'cos the championship and the premiership are both profound dissapointments!!! |

The Brazil group looks a bit tough. I love the World Cup so very much, in that above list of teams there are players who i even know exist now but by next July I'll worship their every move.
Does anyone reckon a team other than Brazil will win it? |
