Oh here we go. We'll have less of that, I'm sure if Abramovich had bought out Liverpool, it'd be different. Anyway, they looked good prior to his arrival. Ranieri had nothing to spend before and they looked as if they were about to start winning, of which the squad is still comprising of most of those players. And anyway, its about bloody time they won something, Liverpool have had their share of it. I'm not old enough to remember when Chelsea last won the league, in fact my mum was born that year. And it'll be nice to see them do it, bought or not, I don't care. At least my husband might do less whinging, and I might get a bit!!!!!!!!!!
And just to cap it all Tottenham are fucking awful!!! Hooray!!!! Dark horse for relegation!!! |

Well, since I'm the one who once started this thread, I think the least I can do is to say
'I'm so sorry, I didn't want to hurt your feelings.'
Hmmm.
Do you think that Mikael Forssell will ever get a real chance to prove his skills in Chelsea? _________________

FC Porto
- Inter Milan
Barcelona
- Chelsea
Werder Bremen
- Lyon

Who will go through to the quarter finals?
My predictions for the winners are marked with
blue.
What do you think?

I think Chelsea and Arsenal will progress but otherwise agree.

Yeah, it's a very good draw, I think. It's too difficult to predict winners really, which is good though.
Liverpool fans, may I have your attention please? Thank you.
Rafael Benitez might be interested in signing Fernando Morientes (on loan probably) since they don't have a world class striker at the moment (fact). And Fernando Morientes says that he'd like to join Liverpool too, probably because he doesn't seem to get a proper chance to play in Real Madrid anymore. Despite of that he's still definitely a world class striker though, he proved that when he was on loan in AS Monaco last season.
I don't know how Morientes would settle in English Premier League, but this
could
be one of the biggest signings this year. I like Fernando Morientes as a player too so I hope that they make a deal! _________________

hmmm... expecting all four English teams to go out? what odds on that
depending on what striker Liverpool get in in January, and on how he fits in, I'm optimistic about Liverpool's chances of progression |

I know which, out of Baros and Morientes, impressed me most at the European Championships this summer... although I'd still like to see the latter in a Liverpool shirt, too.
I also know Baros, despite the injuries (and sometimes starting as sub, with Cisse as the lone striker), has scored 7 this season in the Premisership, while, say, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney combined (and what price would you have to pay for those two) have scored 8 (and RVN's only Premiership goals from play so far would be the 1 he scored against mighty West Bromwich Albion), so Baros can't be doing that badly
not least considering he's not even in a team who are on the top of their game (...to put it one way).
not everyone can be Thierry Henry |

morientes was supposed to sign for us in the summer as part of the owen deal but real decided to keep him. i don't think he's played for 'em this season, certainly not in the 'champions'-well, ok top four'll do- league so i would be very surprised if he didn't come and i, for one, will be very excited.

i'm pretty sure morientes came on as sub for real (and scored?) the night owen was on the bench for us against graz not getting cup tied, cos it felt like a bit of a kick in the teeth. still worth getting though, as life doesn't begin & end with the "c"l. |

A great 4-0 victory for Barnsley over Peterborough today, but once again there are some dark clouds in the horizon. Rumours say that Peter Ridsdale (Barnsley chairman) has left the club today. He wasn't at the match this afternoon, there were no programme notes in the match programme either, and now he's not available to comment the current situation. Draw your own conclusions.
No one really knows why and what's happening though, I'm getting a bit worried again. Ridsdale owns the club but not the financial side of it, so I can't see him winning anything by walking out... unless someone has made a better offer...
Barnsley FC won't survive another administration nightmare, so hopefully it's nothing like that. _________________

Can anyone explain this?
Arsene Wenger states that Ruud Van Nistelrooy cheated the rules. The FA views the footage and gives Van Nistelhorse a 3 match ban for violent conduct.
Also, Wenger gets a £15,000 fine.
Surely if they view the footage and give Van Nistelcheat a 3 match ban, then they are agreeing with what Wenger said... then why do they give him a fine?
Fuck FA. _________________

Sheffield Utd go 5th, despite all reports pointing to their worst ever 1st half performance.
Cardiff needed to get someone sent off for us to have a chance.
We seem to have performed somewhere between average and bloody awful all season, and yet............. 5th! _________________ "fashioned by the blade of a world that doesn't care,
