Nothing new for Italian footie.
Read 'Calcio' by John Foot (yes he is related to the great Michael TTLC) for an absorbing history of the Italian game.
Torino/ Juve and the missing championship 1926/27
The Golden Fix- Inter/ Juve 60's
Bologna Doping scandal - 1964
AC/ Lazio/ Palermo/ Avellino/ Bologna / Juve 1980
Numerous clubs in Serie B&C - 2002/3
....
The surprise is that anyone can still be surprised! _________________ Be sad, be happy and be wise |

I met a guy last week who has lived in Italy, he said in Italy cheating is generally not a big deal, they think 'if you get away with it, you were clever'. Being a part of such a culture has effects on you.
Also, fraud happens in all businesses, more or less, so I'm not 100% sure no corruption takes place in Spain or Italy or France etc. But that's besides the point.
Disco, most of all I'm sad...I'm sad if cheating has taken place in a team that has always had so much talent and such good players that they never needed 'help'.
I'm also wondering if le stilo Juve died with the Agnelli brothers and Moggi and camp saw it fit to go nuts when the Agnellis weren't there to watch over them.

Supporting Liverpool in cup finals is bad for your health, I was a mess after that match on Saturday. It's a good job it was our last match of the season as none of our players could walk by the end.
To add even more fun to the big barrel of fun that is the World Cup I think we should have a bravecaptain board fantasy footie comp.
Go to here:
http://fantasyfootball.metro.co.uk/
Pick your team and then go to join a league and enter the code:
6205-1283
and you'll be entered into the MonkeyBeerLeague. |

Well done Tommy Boo on Barnsley reaching the play off final!
I hope you beat Swansea who's fan's assaulted me at Vetch Field and spat on me at The Hawthorns. _________________ we spent a lot of time trying to make our guitars sound like trumpets...then someone told us we could actually use real trumpets |

yep, I'm going to the millennium stadium
I booked the flight tickets and everything on wednesday, the match tickets should be sorted out already...
the second leg of the semi finals was amazing, did anyone watch it? after huddersfield made it 2-1 (on aggregate) again i never thought that barnsley could come back... swansea will be very difficult to beat, but 27th of May should be a good day even if we lose

Swansea in Cardiff, eh? hopefully they don't make fools of themselves again with messages for Cardiff (the football club)
This week I learned: We have no Arsenal fans on here. |

I like Arsenal, they're great to watch. But I didn't want them to win on Wednesday cos I thought it might have detracted from us winning it last year. I'm a small, petty man. |

Ay you've probably noticed i'm petty too - i wanted Barca 'cos i've never, will never forgive Arsenal and the majority of their fans apathy over the bond scheme - never have so many local lads been shafted by "fellow" fans..... |

I'd forgotten about the bond scheme, what a ridiculous way to try to finance ground improvements, it's like Tesco's asking you to pay upfront for your groceries for the next 10 years so they can build a new store. |

aye, I just meant people whose favourite club is Arsenal
as much as I admire Barcelona for playing football even better than Arsenal, I still wanted Arsenal to win (maybe not as magnificently as Liverpool overcame AC Milan, mind)
still, the better side on the night won, despite the referee... |
